Promoting Florence in the world also means being able to count on the support of our ambassadors: leaders in the fields of excellence, in the academic, medical, research and professional fields.
This is how the Florence Ambassador Award was born, the official recognition of the city entirely dedicated to the charismatic figures of the academic and professional world who are committed to acquiring the awarding of congresses and events which bring a strong economic impact.

 

The Florence Academic Leader Programme aims to increase the number of international business events that choose Florence as the host city, supporting the participants in the development of their role as ambassadors.
Becoming an ambassador of the area means assuming the role of privileged representative in the urban fabric, as a leader in the fields of excellence, in the academic, scientific, medical, research and professional fields.

Through collaboration with Destination Florence CVB and its partners, the ambassador is relieved of all management charges in order to be able to dedicate himself to the honours of a successful event.
The Florence Ambassador Award event is the result of this programme, with the aim of giving the ambassadors an institutional recognition for having actively contributed to the growth of Florence.
