Situated on the Tuscan coast and located between the sea and Apuan Alps, Forte Dei Marmi is synonymous with elegant and peaceful holidaying. An ideal place to celebrate a styling wedding, combining the desire for a celebration on the beach with the dream of spending the most important day of life in a charming historical villas.

Augustus Hotel & Resort, comprising its numerous villas, particularly Villa Agnelli and Villa Pesenti, spacious park and rich history is the embodiment of Forte Dei Marmi, and all of Versilia's ethos.

The Driving force behind the Augustus Hotel since the beginning, Nino Maschietto enriched the resort and granted the Villa Agnelli a new lease of life when it was aggregated to the company in 1969. The villa was easily transformed into a hotel due to the Agnelli's preference of holidaying with a large group of relatives and friends, as well as an equally numerous presence of staff. The villa maintains a superior standard of exclusivity and privacy in part due to the underground passageway that leads directly from the garden of the villa to the sea, avoiding the road, and the public. The tunnel is still the only one of its kind along all the Versiliese coast line.

Once out of a tunnel, the beach resort is accessible down a small, hydrangea-lined path. Initially built as a rudimentary hut to house the Agnelli family seaplane, it has been restored and updated over the years as the Maschietto family sought to bring it up to the high standards experienced around the rest of the entire resort. In the evenings, the Bambaissa restaurant, located on the beach itself, serves some of the most refined Tuscan coastal cuisine, and is particularly sought-after as a venue for wedding’s private parties and candlelit dinners on the sea front.
